“Take my yoke upon you and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.”

“As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.”

“Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.”

Dear brethren this is the time to practise the word of God. Nothing new is being delivered or taught to you in this kingdom. What you are expected to do now is to try to practise what you have been taught. Through teaching, I have been reminding you what God, your Creator, expects from you. Is it not awful that the orthodox churches who claim to know God do not practise His words? The texts above are the direct words of God and not that of man, angel, or prophet. The practise of these words declare your obedience unto God. When you spread these words, it means God has used you to teach the world these words. If we love them, we must of necessity practise and abide by the Divine injunctions.

Forget about churches, healing homes, cathedrals, schools, camps, etc. and be engaged in thought and deed with practical usage of the word of God. Shun man's advice, but abide by the instructions of God. The problem of humanity emanated from deviating from the path of rectitude. You should not expect any good thing to come to you when you do not love God. HOW DOES ONE LOVE GOD? YOU DO THIS BY DILIGENTLY FOLLOWING HIS FOOTSTEPS AS REVEALED IN THE SCRIPTURES.

If you love God, nothing will block you from practising His words. A local adage has it that, " a man enslaves himself to that which he loves." Hence if we love God, we have to practise His words. It is because Christ loved us that He disclosed the secret to mankind that whoever loves Christ will become His abode and that of His Father. Stop looking for God in the sky or in the sea. He is in none of these places. Rather love Him by enslaving yourself in the practise of every revealed word. By so doing, you will become the dwelling place of Jehovah God and His Christ and the Holy Spirit. Through loving God, you have formed a trinity with them. Your union with the three brings to you peace, security, and eternal life.

That Christ loves us is undisputable, and that He enslaved Himself for us is beyond reasonable doubt. The proof of Christ's love is subsumed in this statement towards the end of His earthly ministry; that it was expedient for Him to go away because if He did not go away, the Comforter, the Spirit of Truth, would not come. (See John 16:7) Christ loves us and He enslaved Himself for such love by the indignity of death on the cross. "Greater love hath no man than this." This is the model which we should emulate. You should note that before the era of the Holy Spirit, God spoke in parables. But God the Father communicates to us in plain language. This parabolic communication between God and man, made it difficult for people to know the nature of God. The result was that the depraved man doubted the fact that God has a son or a child. Some went to the extent of denying the existence of God. These erroneous opinions were held because the Holy Spirit, the greatest teacher, had not arrived as the text just referred to explains. All the sufferings in the world emanate from disobeying the teachings revealed in the scriptures. Peace, love, and eternal life come from the actual practise of the word. This is what our Lord Jesus Christ, in John Chapter ten verse eight said: "All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers:but the sheep did not hear them."

Aside from teachings of the Holy Spirit, no other teaching, right from the time of Adam, would have led you to eternal life. Adam was half educated and half education is very dangerous, because it makes you have an inflated image of yourself, thus making you become arrogant. God said He alone would teach Adam in the Garden; but Adam disobeyed God by fornicating, thereby earning his rustication from the " School." The rustication made Adam half-educated. In this case, what could Adam impart to others? Who taught Abraham? Who was the teacher of Melchizedek? What did Enoch know to enable him teach others? Mention other Old Testament heroes and you will come to the inescapable conclusion that the only teachings worthy of practise are those taught by Our Lord Jesus Christ. ALL OTHER PROPHETS BORE WITNESS TO CHRIST BY TESTIFYING THAT WHEN HE COMES AS THE COMFORTER, HE WOULD LEAD MAN TO THE PERFECT KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH. This is why the teachings in Brotherhood of the Cross and Star are different from that of the Old Testament. For instance, in Brotherhood, the erroneous belief that God has reincarnated seven times, namely, Adam, Melchizedec, Noah, Moses, Elijah, Jesus Christ, and Olumba Olumba Obu has long been discarded. Only the teachings of the Father which lead to the accurate knowledge of the truth are followed. You are therefore warned to disassociate yourself from the erroneous teaching in the world because it only leads to the bottomless pit. It is instructive to heed the saying that a blind man cannot lead another blind man.

Adam disobeyed God only after listening to the spirit of error, the serpent. Adam was instructed not to eat the fruit at the center of the Garden, but the serpent contradicted God by lying to Adam that disobeying that directive will not lead kim to death. For disobeying God, Adam was sent out of the Garden of Eden. Then it dawned on Adam that he had derailed from the path of rectitude. To forestall the inevitable consequence of his disobedience, he cried, prayed, and fasted for forgiveness. In spite of these sacrifices, he lost the divine right to communicate directly with God. However, out of God's infinite mercy, He continued to communicate with them through angels. He also promised to come to them again. He told them that His coming would be heralded by three things- Gold, myrrh and frankincense. Till now, not many people know the three wise men presented our Lord Jesus Christ with the gifts of gold, myrrh, and frankincense.

The three things -gold, myrrh, and frankincense- were signs that God had again established personal contact with depraved man since the fall of Adam. Apart from the three things, another sign of God's personal intervention in the affairs of man was when He was crucified on the tree. Trace the history of man since the time of creation, and mention any birth which has attracted the gifts presented to our Lord Jesus Christ by the wise men. Have you also seen another personality clothed with the Holy Spirit other than our Lord Jesus the Christ?

Before the advent of Jesus the Christ, angels dominated the scene. It was an angel, for instance, whom God sent to tempt Abraham to sacrifice Isaac, his only son. Through Abraham's obedience, God realized that He is not present physically on earth, man still had faith in Him and with this, He decided to send His Son. After two thousand years, God made good His promise and Christ came to the sinful earth through the womb of a virgin.

True to the history of redemption, the symbol of gold, myrrh and frankincense materialized as gifts. Although these presents were presented by the three wise men, there were actually four wise men who were sent out to visit Bethlehem but the fourth wise man, as God would have it, had another assignment to carry out and was therefore absent at the presentation ceremony. Contrary to the prevailing view, the four wise men do not represent the four corners of the world, namely, North, South, East, and West. The four corners of the world are readily represented by the Heaven, the earth,the abyss,and the ocean. Refer to Revelation chapter 20 for details. There is therefore misinformation in the world as to what conventional wisdom would have us believe. The world is one - heaven, earth, abyss, and oceans are habitations.

Brethren, this kingdom is very deep and mysterious and if I begin to explain its implications, you will agree with me that it is not only deep and weighty but sometimes inexplicable. It is a very sorrowful situation that from the beginning of times, the people of the world have never known the ways of God, neither have they known Him and His divine plan. His wisdom has confounded the intelligence of man.

Recall what happened when Our Lord Jesus Christ died? The veil of the temple was torn into two, from top to bottom; the earth quaked, the rocks were rent apart, graves were opened, and the bodies of Saints who had died rose up. Read Matthew chapter 20 verses 50-53: " Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. And behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many."

Our Lord Jesus Christ did not come until after two generations. A generation is one thousand years. The time span between Adam and Moses was two thousand years, and the same two thousand years elapsed from the time of Moses to the advent of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Many dispute the Messianic claim of Our Lord Jesus Christ because His coming is not exactly two thousand years from the time of Moses. But who is man to challenge God's decision. Now at the close of age, God has come down to redeem humanity unto Himself.

Two thousand years after the advent of our Lord Jesus Christ, a new world order will come into place, and everything will conform to God's perfect standard. The promised Comforter that Our Lord Jesus Christ told us about, now teaches man to bring man to the accurate knowledge of the truth. This promise is recorded in John Chapter 14 verse 26. Only the Holy Spirit teaches the truth, because it is only the king who knows the secret of His kingdom. For instance, the Bible we are reading today was compiled through the dreams, visions, and activities of the people of past generations. Such people, during their time, did not know the value of such writings.

Paul never intended that his writings to different communities could be taken as the words of God, but now his original intention has ceased to be the essence of the writing. Those to whom the letters were addressed also did not know the value because they were not destined to practise it. But now the Holy Spirit, the promised Comforter teaches and reminds us about the teachings of Our Lord Jesus Christ. And you have to subject yourself to the teachings of the Holy Spirit, if you care about his instructions.

FIRST BIBLE LESSON:MATTHEW 11:29
“Take my yoke upon you and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.”

Brethren, what could be greater than God promising you rest to your souls? I am a living witness to this fact. You can also be a witness if you practise His injunctions. `Love ye one another even as I have loved you. One cannot effectively love except one is lowly in heart, meek and gentle. By so doing, one has taken His yoke upon oneself and learnt of Him. Do not say I have been serving God for the past years yet things do not seem to work to my specified plan. Remember that it is not always the same day you dig a pit and fill it with water that frogs do fall into it. Patience must come before joy.

Recall all the activities that took place during the life time of Our Lord Jesus Christ and after. The apostles preached and could not heal until after Christ's ascension, when they were empowered by the Holy Spirit. The Church was formed after two centuries when the Roman Catholic Church was established. The Catholic teachings were adulterated when they killed Peter. Protestantism followed after Catholicism in the search for accurate knowledge of God. The era of the Protestants gave rise to many more churches being established.

Note that it was from the time of Moses that the coming of Christ was prophesied. The prophets did not practise the words of God, but they were more or less involved in announcing the coming of Christ. And when eventually he came as was prophesied, He did indeed accomplish everything prophesied about Him. This made the people realize that he was the promised one. But unfortunately, nobody now practises what our Lord Jesus Christ taught. They preach the words but refuse to practise them. BUT ALL SHOULD REMEMBER THAT THE END OF HIS CENTURY IS THE END OF SIN. GOD WILL PHYSICALLY ASSUME HIS RULERSHIP OVER THE ENTIRE WORLD. The pointer to this is the fact that governments, countries, institutions of learning, and churches, have now opted for the teachings of Brotherhood. This is the work of God making the entire world one.

The orthodox churches still expect God from the sky, but God has never left man. That Christ died on the cross does not mean that the Father was no more in existance. God has always been with man. So it is mandatory for you to practise the gospel or face eternal damnation. THE ENTIRE WORLD MUST BE PERFECTLY REFORMED BEFORE THE YEAR 2000. For instance, who amongst the Brotherhood brethren ever planned to practise the word of God?

Nobody thought it wise to heed the instructions of God. Nobody thought it wise to practise or testify to the works wrought by God, and nobody is interested in praising God with songs. But now mere pronouncing the name, Leader Olumba Olumba Obu, a large crowd is dispersed. People take to their heels on hearing the name, claiming that there is no other name apart from Jesus Christ. I have been calling for testimonies, praises, adoration, and honor, but no one found it pertinent to do so. This is because everything that happens must happen at the appointed time. When the time for you to praise God manifests fully, nobody will teach you what to do. You will know it and how to do it, all alone.

"For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their minds, and write them in their hearts; and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people; And they shall not teach every man his neighbor and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and iniquities will I remember no more."

It is incumbent upon you to practise the word of God. Your salvation depends on that. Even the disciples never knew their Master. They lacked the understanding of His words and were therefore astonished at the parable of how difficult it would be for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. The disciples followed Christ because they hoped to be made rich and so, when they realized that the rich would not enter into the kingdom of God, they were astonished.

The question put to Jesus about the issue of whether it is right to divorce a wife shows that the disciples did not understand their Master. For details, see Matthew chapter 19.

Brotherhood of the Cross and Star has undergone many stages. When Brotherhood physically manifested at Eton Street, I used to cook food, give drinks, snuff, and other items to people in order to attract people and convert them. But it is different today. This is because such generosity does not help man to practise the Word of God. The order now is that you should not wear shoes, eat meat or fish, do not fornicate, smoke, drink, snuff, etc. The reason the first set of Brotherhood had the privilege to enjoy such luxuries was because they were not baptised. Now all Brotherhood members must completely disassociate themselves from the pleasures of the flesh after baptism. BAPTISM COMES AFTER REPENTANCE, AND REPENTANCE IS THE COMPLETE DENOUNCEMENT AND FORSAKING OF ALL UNHOLY DESIRES.

Those who recall with nostalgia how cows used to be slaughtered for feast should well remember that Brotherhood is in its advanced stages where everything is made anew. This is the time for humanity to draw nearer to God by fleeing from sins. As the saying goes, the palatability of a dish is not determined at the time of preparation but when it is tasted. By the same logical reasoning, not much is gained by hearing the gospel but not practising it.

Brotherhood members are the children of promise, and that is why the gift of the Holy Spirit has been given to them. So to qualify for this kingdom, you should utilize the gift to practise the Word of God. Anything I do not want to happen I stand in the highest heavens and rebuke it. Whatever I want to happen, I equally cause same to come to existance. Two instances which we can all readily recall to substantiate my authority was that the legislature to legalize abortion was almost signed into law when I canceled it. THIS IS BECAUSE ABORTION IS MURDER. Again, after God had created the requisite awareness of the Gulf War, I declared an end to the hostilities. Could this not prove to you all that the Father is a personality on this earth, and that all should submit to Him?

Why do you think people hearken to the instructions not to eat meat and fish, not to fornicate, not to hate,and not to steal, among other injunctions? The reason is that the Father is already on the judgement seat, judging the entire universe, and giving out instructions to these people.

THE KINGDOM OF GOD DOES NOT COUNT ON LARGE CROWDS. FEW WHO PRACTISE THE WORD ARE BETTER THAN THOUSANDS WHO DO NOT PRACTISE THE WORD OF GOD. You are called upon to extend the love that the author of our faith, even the Lord Jesus Christ has loved us, to your fellow men.

The criterion for judgement is love. If love is practiced the whole world would be at peace,and violence would be a thing of the past. Therefore stop blaming the people of old for not practising love. For they did not know what love is. During that time, the disciples of Jesus the Christ were stoned to death for merely praying or preaching to somebody. In fact, the men of old endured very severe conditions. But now God has freed us from the bondage of restriction to worship. This freedom has brought to us the awareness that love is the way of salvation. Now that you are not under any restriction to worship God, what prevents you from putting into practice His words? You should practise His words in your relationship with other men.

You are only free when you love, because love means freedom. This freedom granted to us should be utilized so that we receive peace and joy to our souls. The world is now convinced that Brotherhood is love and this explains the rush now to the fold. Brotherhood is the abode of love since it is the new kingdom of God where righteousness and freedom is attained. You have to love God and all the creations of God.

Do not blaspheme, but love and desire the good of all men. If you love, you would find eternal rest for your soul. You stand disfellowshipped in this kingdom if you steal, lie, fornicate, fight, quarrel, or commit those wrongs which do not boost good relations among people. Brotherhood does not desire sin and the world knows that very well. Once you count these behavioral disorders, the worker judges you and declares you not a true Brotherhood, then you should abstain from all acts of sinfulness.

Brotherhood members are peacemakers. This explains why people ask whether the Father has been consulted whenever any member takes somebody to court. Whoever investigates Brotherhood of the Cross and Star reveals to the world that the fold is nothing but love. Boundary disputes which hitherto defy solutions are amicably settled whenever Brotherhood steps into them. Everything associated with love is peace and freedom. Do not panic about the origin of this work, because we know that it is the work of love.

THE END OF TIME IS FAST APPROACHING WHEN ALL MANNERS OF SINFULNESS WILL CEASE TO BE. Fighting, fornication, hatred, lies, stealing, murder, adultery, idolatry, etc. will come to an end. There will be no more discrimination, no sexism, no age discrimination, and there will prevail limitless liberty. Starvation will cease, and joy will reign supreme. Love will reign supreme, and peace will be the order of the day.

Righteousness is now engulfing sins, love now overrides hatred, fighting, discrimination, arrogance, and pride. The light of Jehovah God is now pushing darkness out of the system, and in a little while, everything will take God's designed shape. The year 2000 will mark the end of mundane things as nothing evil will be heard of. That is when the kingdom of this world shall completely become the kingdom of Jehovah God and His Christ as recorded in Revelation 11:15

We should all have a share in the kingdom of our Father provided we practise the words of God and follow His footsteps.

A stroke of the cane, it is said, is enough for the wise. May God bless His Holy Words. Amen !
