THE DEMOLITION OF THE RECALCITRANTS: DESTRUCTION OF UNRIGHTEOUS ONES.
TEXT: JOHN 5:1-47
MOSES TESTIFIED ABOUT CHRIST:
The theme of our lesson is derived from verse 46: "For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me."
What have you learned from this statement? Are you aware of the fact that Moses was a witness to Christ? In fact, he was one of His harbingers.
From Genesis to Malachi, testimonies by Moses about the birth of Jesus Christ abound. Are you able to practise the laws of Moses (The Ten Commandments)? Thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not commit adultery and thou shall not steal; among other laws? Mention any man on earth who has behaved in accordance with the laws of Moses.
Read John 5:24-25 "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my words and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come unto condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. Verily, Verily, I say unto you, the hour is coming and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God and they shall live." Do you believe this statement to be true?
THE THEME:
Most people cannot correctly interpret Acts 3:22-23:- "For Moses said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me, him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. And it shall come to pass, that every soul which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people." Do you know whom Moses was talking about? What has he said? The Prophet, according to Moses, must be obeyed, and anyone who is recalcitrant shall be destroyed. The theme for this lecture therefore is :THE DESTRUCTION OF THE UNRIGHTEOUS ONES.
All that Moses said was about Jesus Christ. Do you know the prophet whom Moses was talking about? He could be called the Son of God, the Lord, a Leader or Spirit. Some called Him Savior, Redeemer, or Emmanuel. All these names belong to Jesus the Christ. Why then is it that people claim to know only Moses and not Jesus Christ? Is it because of their stupidity or ignorance? However, when Moses was talking about Jesus the Christ, the people of that time did not understand.
The ten commandments given to us by Moses are still being enforced. When you go contrary to any of the laws, you are doomed. All the problems you have are because you have ignored Christ and all God's representatives. All the Bible portions as contained in Genesis to Revelation are the things said about Christ. Read this:
1 Corinthians 12:6-11 "And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For one is given by the spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same spirit; to another faith by the same spirit to another the gifts of healing by the same spirit, to another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits, to another diverse kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: but all these worketh that one and the selfsame spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will." (1 Corinthians 12:6-11). An understanding of the above portion of the Bible shows that without Jesus the Christ, the whole world would have perished. He is the custodian of eternal life.
MY MISSION:
MY MISSION IS TO BRING YOU BACK TO CHRIST, BECAUSE YOU HAVE ALIENATED YOURSELF FROM HIM AND YOU HAVE FORGOTTEN HIS TEACHINGS. YOUR PROBLEMS EMANATE FROM THIS VERITABLE FACT. YOUR MISFORTUNES ARE NOT CAUSED BY DEVILISH POWERS, RATHER, IT IS ROOTED IN YOUR STUBBORNNESS AND YOUR DISOBEDIENCE TO THE WORD OF GOD. THERE IS NO CHURCH, GOVERNMENT OR INDIVIDUAL WHO COMPLIES WITH THE TEACHINGS OF THE PROPHETS. THE MOSLEMS, CHRISTIANS AND MEMBERS OF SECRET SOCIETIES RECOGNIZE MOSES BUT NONE PRACTISES HIS TEACHINGS AS STATED IN JOHN 5:24-25: "Verily, verily I say unto you, he that heareth my word and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. Verily, verily, I say unto you, the hour is coming, and now is when they shall hear the voice of the Son of God and they that hear shall live."
This is the bane of your life. Now that you have come to the realization that anybody who disobeys the said prophet will be damned the haunting questions are, what have you learnt from this knowledge? And what do you think about yourself as you have deviated from this provision?
Read also Numbers 6:1-8: "And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When either man or woman shall separate themselves unto the Lord; He shall separate himself from wine and strong drink, and shall drink no vinegar of wine, or vinegar of strong drink, neither shall he drink any liquor of grapes, nor eat moist grapes, or dried. All the days of his separation shall he eat nothing that is made of the vine tree, from the kernels even to the husk. All the days of the vow of his separation there shall no razor come upon his head: until the days be fulfilled, in the which he separateth himself unto the Lord, he shall be holy, and shall let the locks of the hair of his head grow. All the days that he separateth himself unto the Lord he shall come at no dead body. He shall not make himself unclean for his father, or for his mother, for his brother, or for his sister, when they die: because the consecration of his God is upon his head. All the days of his separation he is holy unto the Lord."
THE TEN COMMANDMENTS:
You are warned to abstain from taking wine and strong drink among other things. The pastors, bishops and other religious functionaries have wine in their houses and in church vestry. Some take sips of wine before going to the altar for preaching. Recall that anyone who flouts any of these laws will be destroyed.
All that is written in the Holy Bible provides a guide to pave the way for the advent of Christ. We have to prepare our minds to receive Him. We should shun all vices because, God does not like them. You must not steal, tell lies, fornicate, or do any act of insubordination to the Lord.
Re-think, have you practised the commandment as recorded in Exodus 20:3-4? It reads: "THOU SHALT HAVE NO OTHER GOD BEFORE ME. THOU SHALT NOT MAKE UNTO THEE ANY GRAVEN IMAGE, OR ANY LIKENESS OF ANYTHING THAT IS IN HEAVEN ABOVE,OR THAT IS ON THE EARTH BENEATH, OR THAT IS IN THE WATER UNDER THE EARTH."
THIS IS OUR THRUST. OF ALL THESE LAWS,* ALMOST ALL OF YOU ARE GUILTY OF CONSULTING ORACLES OR MEDIUMS FOR ONE PROBLEM OR THE OTHER. You are enjoined not to steal nor commit adultery among other sins, but all these are what you relish doing. You wallow in them, particularly fornication and adultery. You have no regards for marriage.
THE LOVE OF GOD:
Note that the violation of these laws are the cause of your troubles on earth. Church organizations are not interested in obeying the injunctions written in the Holy Bible; rather, they indulge in criticizing one another. They condemn one another's doctrines. Christ also came but they neither recognized Him nor practised His injunctions. In the same light, this generation claims that they do not recognize Olumba Olumba Obu but Jesus Christ. The question is have I taught you anything different from the teachings of Our Lord Jesus Christ? Have I condemned Christ's teachings? I am not teaching you anything new, but I confirm the already existing laws of Moses and Jesus Christ. If you cannot obey the words of God, you are lost. Read Matthew 5:17-20: "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one title shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I say unto you, that except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the Scribes and Pharisee, ye shall in no wise enter into the kingdom of heaven."
This is what I teach you. The love of God for mankind is underscored in sending prophets from time to time, one after another into the world. Moses, Elijah, John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ came and had different roles. All were sent to us for the good of man. I AM ALSO HERE NOT TO ALTER ANYTHING WHICH WAS MADE.
I am a human being like you. AS A BROTHER, I AM TELLING YOU IN A VERY FRIENDLY MANNER TO ENDEAVOR TO PRACTISE THE TEACHINGS OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST. AS THE LAST PROPHET, HIS WORDS MUST BE PRACTISED RELIGIOUSLY. HE CONFIRMED ALL LAWS. IF YOU OBEY HIS INJUNCTIONS, YOU WILL BE SAVED. BUT WHOEVER DISOBEYS HAS HIMSELF TO BLAME.
AN IMPOSTOR VOUCHES FOR HIMSELF:
If the people of old had obeyed Moses, would they not have obeyed Jesus? If people were to believe the words of Christ, would they not have believed mine too?
According to John 5:31: "If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true." People criticize Brotherhood members for claiming their Leader to be God, whereas the Leader does not see himself as such, the critics claim. Of course, they are either oblivious of the above Bible portion or ignorant about it. ANYONE WHO PROCLAIMS HIMSELF TO BE LORD, JESUS CHRIST, THE MOST HIGH GOD IS AN IMPOSTOR AND HE MAKES A FALSE CLAIM. 2 Corinthians 10:18: "For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth." Those of you who take delight in glorifying yourself should pray fervently for forgiveness. If you esteem yourself as the most powerful prophet, you are making a false claim.
MY PREOCCUPATION:
It is better if you are commended by others. It means nothing if a man blows his trumpet. Read Galatians 6:3 "For if a man thinketh himself to be something when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself."
Guru-Maharaji and Akan Ekwong who glorified themselves have met their waterloo. They are false prophets. It is high time the world realised that, anybody who vouches for himself is an impostor.
I am not interested in your commendation. What I am after is your adherence to the words of God. I have not told you that I am an angel, Jesus Christ; neither do I regard titles as anything. MY PREOCCUPATION IS TO ENSURE, WITH THE WORDS OF GOD, THAT YOU REFRAIN FROM SINS.
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:
YOU SHOULD BELIEVE IN OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, FOR HE IS THE BEGINNING AND THE END. WHOEVER DOES NOT BELIEVE IN HIM HAS PERISHED. DO NOT THINK I HAVE COME TO JUDGE YOU. CHRIST AS YOU KNOW IS THE PERSON WHO CAN GIVE JUDGEMENT. I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THE WHOLE WORLD. BUT THE PROBLEMS WHICH WILL BEFALL THE WORLD WILL COME AS A RESULT OF MAN'S DISOBEDIENCE TO GOD'S LAWS. THE WORLD'S PROBLEMS AND PESTILENCES ARE NOT CAUSED BY ELEMENTAL SPIRITS, WITCHES, AND OTHER EVIL POWERS RATHER MAN SHOULD ADDRESS HIS PROBLEMS TO HIS SHORT COMINGS.
ABIDE IN HIS WORDS, SO THAT YOU MAY BE SAVED. IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN SERIOUS WITH HIS WORK, THE TIME IS NOW. I WANT YOU TO LOVE GOD, RESPECT HIM AND ALSO PRACTISE THE TEACHINGS OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST. KNOW HIM AS THE ONLY SAVIOR. HIS TEACHINGS SAVES US AND HIS PRAYERS REDEEM THE WHOLE WORLD. HE IS THE LORD, AS SUCH, YOU SHOULD ADORE HIM.
At the moment if you go to Jerusalem, the general belief is that Elijah the prophet will come before Christ. To them Christ has not come.
Nobody knows when and where Christ will arrive on his second coming. On your own part, you are still doubting His coming, even in this kingdom. God has revealed many things to you in this kingdom which should make you believe Him. In spite of this, you complain of not having material things such as children, houses, cars and other things. Because of materialism, you doubt His coming. If one could heal the sick, preach the gospel for twenty-four hours without rest, and has not taken ill for the past twenty years, would you call him God? Can you say that this is the work of the devil?
THE ERA OF THE HOLY SPIRIT:
It is your place to preach to the world and appraise them on how you were called into Brotherhood of the Cross and Star. Your experiences before the call, and what you witness in the fold. While preaching, make copious references to the Bible to buttress your points. It is difficult to know the nature of a man in flesh, except it is revealed to you in spirit. As such, man is incognito.
The Bible Class lecture is meant for you to increase your knowledge of the scriptures. Some of you do not know what to do and where you belong. Sometimes you conjecture to denounce Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, but your constraint is that you were called into this fold by God.
DO NOT COME HERE TO BE HEALED OF YOUR SICKNESS OR TO SEEK FOR VISIONS, RATHER, SIT AT HOME. BELIEVE THAT YOUR PROBLEM IS SOLVED IF YOU ARE TOLD.
THE BANE OF THE WORLD:
This is not the place you do anything in the flesh, but only the in spirit. Now this is your homework:
"Thou shalt have no other Gods before me.....for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquities of the fathers upon the children, unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me...... (EXODUS 20:3-6).
This is the bane of the world. The reward you get from fornication, polygamy and other forms of materialism is relatively small compared with the benefit you get by giving yourself to God. Those who obey Him receive His grace abundantly.
The above Bible portion is a true phenomenon, because anyone who steals, fornicates, practises occultism, kills, tells lies and relishes in other vices, their children are likely to emulate their unwholesome ways. As such, the offspring will pass through tribulation as did their father. This is possible because of blood relationship. This is how blood is thicker than water.
NOT BEYOND PARDON:
It is not too late to mend your ways. God is merciful and always forgiving. Whenever you want to repent, he is always ready. Nevertheless, your sins are not beyond pardon.
If the blood of your parents are working negatively in you, try to control your emotions. Some of you have good intentions and the willingness to so do good but the blood of iniquity in you would not permit it.
YOUR OFFSPRING ARE WHAT YOU ARE:
The family you marry into influences the behavior of your children. Wicked family infuses wickedness into posterity. And this will hunt the offspring for generations to come. YOU SHOULD PRAY TO GOD THAT YOUR CHILDREN WILL COME TO IMBIBE AND EVEN PRACTISE THE WORDS OF GOD MORE THAN YOU DO. THE CHILDREN WHO GROW UP WITH BROTHERHOOD OF THE CROSS AND STAR DOCTRINES WILL DIFFER IN THEIR WAYS FROM THE CHILDREN WHO ARE NOT GROOMED WITH BROTHERHOOD DOCTRINES.
If you have no lust for mundane things and you shun occultism, no child of yours will indulge in any of these things. If you condemn the children of the present generation for their unwholesome ways, the haunting question is: are the fathers to these children good? Are these children not the offspring of their fathers? Your children are the reflections of your real self. Your children are what you are, and the blood goes on circulating.
